NERDY ABOUT PRODUCT INGREDIENTS? US TOO.

We’re all about incorporating natural ingredients that are good for – rather than harsh to – your hair. But we didn’t want to just throw them in for the sake of being natural – they’ve gotta stack up under a microscope, too.

Through hours of research and development (think: cool white lab coats) we’ve been able to combine the best of nature *and* science to help create premium formulations that work extra hard. Of course we have to use their fancy, science-y names on the back of the bottle, so the below guide will help you interpret what they are and all the nice things they can do for your hair. (You can borrow our coat if you like.)

SHEA BUTTER

BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII - (SHEA) BUTTER

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that works to protect cells from free radicals, and has been known to help support a healthy scalp and hair growth. It’s found readily in nuts and broccoli, but handily, we’ve also included it in our range. (You should probably still eat your broccoli.)

VItAMIN E

TOCOPHERYL ACETATE (VIT E)

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that works to protect cells from free radicals, and has been known to help support a healthy scalp and hair growth. It’s found readily in nuts and broccoli, but handily, we’ve also included it in our range. (You should probably still eat your broccoli.)

COCONUT OIL

COCOS NUCIFERA (COCONUT) OIL

Coconut oil is one of the ‘good guy’ oils, because it’s loaded with beneficial fatty acids, helps prevent protein loss, and is more easily absorbed into the hair than a lot of other oils. It’s also super nourishing for your scalp, and will generally make your hair softer, shinier and more likely to garner you compliments. Win-win.

PANTHENOL (PROVITAMIN B5)

Considered the ‘gold standard’ moisturiser, provitamin B5 is a sensitive scalp’s best friend, because it soothes, heals and nourishes dry, delicate skin. It also helps prevent split ends and improve hair elasticity. Ours is produced in a state of the art facility in Scotland, which has won CEFIC’s European Responsible Care Award for sustainable production processes. Pretty impressive, huh?

ZINGIBER OFFICINALE (GINGER ROOT EXTRACT)

Not just good in your morning juice, ginger root extract can stimulate the scalp by increasing blood flow, which feeds hair follicles and in turn increases growth and regeneration.

HYDROLYZED RICE PROTEIN

A gluten-free protein molecule which promotes collagen production within the scalp, and can help reinforce hair strands to add strength and hold moisture. It’s like if your hair did pilates.
